DeskMate
Your corner of the screen,
upgraded.
DeskMate is an open-source desk widget you can add anything to. It ships with a password vault and music player, and the community builds plugins for the rest, like trackers, tools and games.
Windows may say "Windows protected your PC" because the installer isn't code-signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Password vault
AES-256 encrypted and stored only on your PC. Built-in 2FA codes with QR import, an optional phone code to unlock, and an optional lock to your Windows account with automatic encrypted backups.
Music
Play your own files and free internet radio, and control YouTube Music, Spotify or anything else playing on your PC, from a player bar and global hotkeys.
Plugins for everything else
Plugins are small web pages that get their own tab. They run sandboxed: they can't see your vault, your files or other plugins, and only get what you approve.
Verified plugins
Reviewed by Lapis Studios. Install them from DeskMate's Plugins → Store tab; DeskMate checks every download against the checksum below.
DeskMate 1.0.2 and newer use this store automatically. On an older version, paste https://deskmate.lapistudios.com/plugins/index.json into Plugins → Store.
Build your own
If you can make a web page, you can make a DeskMate plugin: a manifest.json, an HTML page, done. You can share plugins for free or sell them.
